All the varsity students of Adamawa State University, Mubi, have fled out of the campus following the that Boko Haram  advanced to capture the town.
       The insurgents struck in neighbouring Gulak on 6/9/14 Saturday and are said to be advancing towards Michika and Mubi. The management of Adamawa State University, Mubi, have now announced indefinite closure of the institution due to the fear of possible attack from Boko Haram insurgents.
    This is contained in a statement by Malam Hassan Tanko, acting registrar of the institution, in Yola on Sunday 7/9.
       The statement, which instructed students to go home, stated that the university was closed indefinitely for security reasons. Some students of the university, told news men on telephone that they were stranded due to residents  rush to leave the town.
      One of the students who identified himself as Ali said many commuters were now stranded in the commercial border town due to lack of vehicle. “Motor park is now jam-packed with stranded passengers with no vehicle to move them out.
